Music production:
Niels Lanz develops music. He is neither a composer nor a musician in the conventional sense – something to which Niels attaches great significance. His music is created from images in his mind’s eye and from feelings to which he wants to lend expression. Rhythms, sounds, samples are the instruments which Niels processes to create his very own collages. He uses his compositions as thematic and atmospheric backdrops for dance, drama, exhibitions and events: his objective is that of intensifying the audio-visual experience of every performance through his music.

Niels Lanz erarbeitet Musik. Er ist weder Komponist noch Musiker im herkömmlichen Sinne. Darauf legt Niels viel Wert. Ihm geht es nicht um catchy Melodien. Die Musik von Niels entsteht aus Bildern, die er vor dem Auge hat; aus Gefühlen, die er ausdrücken will. Rhythmen, Sounds, Samples sind seine Instrumente, die Niels zu ganz eigenen Collagen (v)erarbeitet. Seine Kompositionen nutzt er zur thematischen und atmosphärischen Untermalung für Tanz, Schauspiel, Ausstellung und Event. Sein Ziel: Mit seiner Musik das audiovisuelle Erlebnis jeder visuellen Darbietung zu intensivieren.
